The Director of Maintenance at Corvallis Aero Service is responsible for overseeing all work coming from the Maintenance and the Part 145 Avionics Shop. The first priority is to ensure the highest degree of safety. The Director of Maintenance is an extremely important part of our company as a leader and champion of safety.

Job Description

Establish and maintain a safe and orderly working environment for employees.

Supervise activities of personnel, assuring maintenance is completed with established company policies, procedures,and applicable FAA regulations.

Work close with the FAA in compliance of Part 141, Part 135, and Part 145 operations.

Responsible for oversight of the FAA mandated drug testing program.

Detailed record keeping on maintenance records of fleet aircraft, assuring 100 hour inspections, annual inspections, and Airworthy Directives are complied with.

Responsible for scheduling maintenance projects, prioritizing unscheduled maintenance, and may require unscheduled work shifts.

Ensure all paperwork is reviewed for accuracy and complete the sign-off process for Avionics and Maintenance.

Responsible for biding projects for Avionics and Maintenance. This will include extensive budgeting for profitability.

Monitoring attendance records, scheduling employees to meet aircraft work requirements, and assure mechanics are assigned to correct jobs with no unassigned time. This will include directing and coaching employees with respect to department's productivity.

Provide a high level of customer satisfaction and attention to the needs of our existing and new customers.

Responsible for budgets and sales of the maintenance and avionics department.

Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Hold a mechanic certificate with air frame and power plant ratings for a minimum of 5 years, with inspection authorization.

3 years experience in a position of Director of Maintenance or similar operations.

3 years avionics installation experience.

3 years biding and sales in Avionics and Maintenance.

Meets the requirements of all legal employment and FAA regulations for the position held.

Basic Computer skills.

Must have excellent written and oral communication skills and be able to interact with a wide variety of people.

Must have experience in supervising up to 8 mechanics and avionic technicians.
